Garmin has just introduced the latest generation of its
flagship activity tracker, Garmin Vivosmart HR. Previously Vivosmart itself was
quite popular among users, it’s offering a balance between simple design,
functionality and long-lasting battery.
But behind its popularity, users didn't feel satisfied with
the absence of heart-rate monitor feature in Vivosmart: That's why the Garmin
Vivosmart HR is made. As expected, the HR label indicates the heart-rate
monitor sensor in it.
The heart-rate monitor sensor in this activity tracker is
not ordinary sensor that can be purchased in bulk from other companies; this
sensor is made by Garmin itself and named Elevate. Hearing this name, we can
understand the other advantage of Garmin Vivosmart HR: the ability to calculate
the number of stairs that have been stepped by user - recognize the elevation -
and also the intensity of daily activities.
Garmin Vivosmart HR brings a touch screen that's always
active in any condition, the battery resistance can last up to 5 days, and it
can be used to dive to a depth of 50 meters. In addition to monitoring the
activity, Garmin Vivosmart HR can also forward the incoming notifications to a
smartphone.
Accompanying the Garmin Vivosmart HR, there is a smart scale
named Index Smart Scale that's announced in the same occasion. This scale not
only measures the weight but also body mass index, fat, water percentage,
muscle mass and bone mass. Of course, all of this data can be synchronized with
Garmin Connect application in the smartphone.
Garmin Vivosmart HR will be offered at a price of $ 150, and
Index Smart Scale will also be sold at the same price. Both will be available
starting in November.
