When reading a non-fiction book,
sometimes we will see an inspiring thought from someone. And sometimes we want
to share it with friends by copying the text, and then posting it on Facebook
or Twitter.
Unfortunately, the inspiring quote
that's shared in manual way won't attract many attentions. We all know that
many people are more interested in an image rather than text - although the
image only contains text only, like the quote that we usually see in Instagram.
If you like the picture which
contains inspiring quote, now there is an easy way to make it. Named Quotle,
this application is designed to help you to share the quote that you find in
the book, of course in an interesting look.
At first glance the principle
that's brought by Quotle is similar to the OneShot app. But the OneShot will
take a screenshot from an online article, while the Quotle will take a screenshot
from the hard copy books.
With Quotle, you simply shoot the
page of book where the quote is written, and then this app will process the
text by using OCR technology (optical character recognition). Next you only
need to select the text you want to share, and decorate its appearance, such as
change the font and adjust the background color.
As a result, the quote will look
like a poster that's made by someone who has mastered Adobe Illustrator - in
fact you only use one application in the smartphone.
The last step is of course to share
it through social media. Quotle actually has its own sharing service, but users
can still share the quote to Facebook, Twitter or even store it in Evernote.
Quotle currently can be downloaded
by iPhone users for free through the App Store, unfortunately there is no
information whether the developer will also launch the Quotle app for the
Android version or not.
