Folding clothes is the most frustrating stage after the
process of washing clothes. The good news is this boring activity can be
immediately solved by a unique device called FoldiMate. The developer defines
the FoldiMate as automatic clothes folding robot, so it would be ideal to be
paired with a washing machine and dryer.
The size itself is quite large, 71 x 81 x 79 cm, almost as
big as a washer. It's also designed to be stacked on the top of a washing
machine or dryer, so that everything can be placed in one room for simplicity.
First, the user must clip 15-20 pieces of clothing on the
front part of FoldiMate. After that the clothes will be brought into the
machine one by one, where the robotic hands of FoldiMate will do their job.
The process is quite fast, only about 10 seconds to fold a
piece of clothing. The result is also consistent, in the size of 23 x 28 cm,
but the user can adjust the size according to his/her needs.
One important note: not all types of clothing can be folded
by FoldiMate. The shirts, pants, towels, and pillow cases can be folded well,
but not for bed linen or small-sized apparels such as underwear and socks.
After folding the clothes, FoldiMate can also slightly
soften the clothes once spray the deodorant and softener in every piece of
clothing. Even so, this feature requires special components that will be sold
separately, and the user must also remember that this machine is not a
replacement machine for ironing.
FoldiMate will accept the pre-orders in 2017 with a price
range of $ 700 - $ 850, and the machine will be delivered in 2018.
