Through the Office 365 subscription service, Microsoft tries
to provide complete productivity solutions for the consumers, both working
individually or in teams. Now Microsoft's services are getting complete with
the presence of a new application called Planner.
Microsoft Planner is basically an application to facilitate
the teamwork management. The concept is similar to Trello and Asana, however
Planner is of course exclusive for the Office 365 customers, as well as
carrying the integration of other Microsoft's products.
For those who have ever used Trello would be quite familiar
with the look of Planner. Each plan has its visual board, and users can manage
tasks within certain columns.
These tasks can be sorted by their status - whether
completed or not yet - or by whom the job is given. So if there are members of
the team that exceed the deadline, the boss may be able to take over the job in
order to maintain the workflow of the team.
Transparency is an important factor in the Planner, where
all team members can monitor all the planning, ranging from what should be done
and who is responsible on the tasks. To make sure nothing is left behind,
Planner also supports notifications via email each time there is a new task or
conversation.
In the next few weeks, Planner will be available for all customers
of Office 365. Since it is browser-based platform, Planner can basically be
used on any device.
