It seems that DJI has serious commitment to continuously
provide quality offers for the professional videographers, and now that commitment
is even stronger because DJI has just released a new device named DJI Focus.
DJI Focus is not a drone, but an additional remote control
to adjust aperture and focus of the Zenmuse X5 or X5R camera that's mounted on
DJI Inspire and DJI Ronin gimbal. This device will certainly add the
complexity, but in the hands of professionals it could be a very valuable tool.
But why do we need the DJI Focus if the DJI Go application
can be used to adjust aperture and focus from a distance? It is true, but the
feel will be obviously different than turning the aperture ring or the focus
ring of the real camera. This is where DJI Focus comes to help, with a claim
that it is able to provide a very similar experience when the users turn the
real lens.
The ring of Focus can be adjusted; everything is up to the
user's taste. When connected to the remote control of DJI Inspire, Focus could
work up to a distance of 5 kilometers from the drone. The battery is expected
to last for 14 hours in one time recharge.
DJI Focus is absolutely not a mandatory accessory for all users
of DJI drones, Focus is an accessory that's targeted specifically for
professional videographers, so don't be surprised if the price reaches $ 2,000.
