Along with the release of P9 and P9 Plus smartphones, Huawei
also introduces its third generation smartband, named TalkBand B3. It still
maintains the same design of its two predecessors: the middle part can be
removed and used as a Bluetooth headset.
The headset is locked by a magnet. To remove it, users
simply press the button on the side of TalkBand B3. According to Huawei, the
sound quality is now better than before, and it's able to produce 25 percent
louder volume. Its noise canceling feature is 80 percent more effective.
The curved screen is another typical aspect of Huawei
TalkBand B3. The touch screen uses OMOLED panel at 80 x 128 pixel resolution
and has supported various gestures. If you need weather forecasts information
quickly, everything can be monitored through this screen.
TalkBand B3 only carries a simple activity and sleep
tracking feature, but it can take place automatically. It will detect the type
of physical activity that’s being done automatically, whereas the progress can
be monitored via the companion application on Android and iOS devices.
All of this is packaged in a compact and elegant form. There
are three strap types offered: Active (silicon), Classic (leather) and Elite
(metal). Except the Classic variant, the rest can be used in water activities
because it has IP57 certification. The built-in battery can last up to three to
four days.
So far Huawei hasn't announced the release schedule of
TalkBand B3, but the price of each model is: Active $192, Classic $227 and
Elite $284.
