Thanks to breakthrough ideas of M.S. Whittingham, the
lithium batteries now take important part in powering millions of smartphones
today. Later, the development of battery grows so quickly, ranging from the
fast-charging up to wireless. All the inventions are made to keep the handsets
remain active. And maybe soon we will witness the latest innovation of battery
charging technique.
The premise of wireless charging initially sounded
promising, in which the recharge process didn't require any cable. But for some
people, this way was still considered not practical because users still had to
put the handsets on the top of charger units. But what if the charging can be
performed remotely just like Wi-Fi? This innovation that's developed by Ivan
Chuba and TechNovator team through a product called XE.
The developers describe the TechNovator XE as a products
package that can charge the batteries of the mobile devices remotely. XE is
presented in two parts, the base station or power router and casing to be
paired to mobile devices. Power router is connected to a power outlet, and then
sends the power to the casing. XE has an effective range of about 17 feet or
about five meters.
TechNovator XE works based on the system of 'resonance'
electromagnetic fields, it had ever been implemented by Nikola Tesla in 1894 to
turn on the phosphorus lights. The power is transmitted through the
transmission coils that operate harmoniously. The method is basically similar
to the principle of home radios, mobile data connection or Wi-Fi. The
difference lies in the frequency; XE allows the charging procedure runs when
the mobile devices are still within the range.
We often hear rumors about the dangers of Wi-Fi, then what
about the technology behind the XE? TechNovator guarantees that XE works in the
frequency range that’s safe for humans and animals, and it won't give bad
affect to household appliances.
Developers are also working on a special application to
manage and control the charger. There, users will be presented a complete
statistical data and configuration flexibility. With the app, users can set
priorities and choose the appropriate time when the devices need to be
recharged. Uniquely, there is locator feature ala radar to make it easier to
find the location of power router.
TechNovator plans to launch a campaign on Kickstarter in
November 2015, the retail price of the product is predicted to around US $ 200.
In the early period of development, XE is compatible to iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, the
device variants will be extended if the fundraising target is reached.
