Archos, a vendor from France, is introducing two entry-level
smartphones at once, 50 Helium Plus and 55 Helium Plus. What makes them special
is their support for LTE 4G technology even though both are priced at less than
$ 150.
Archos 50 Helium Plus is priced at only $ 109, while the
Archos 55 Helium Plus can be taken home at a price of $ 139. There are some
other interesting things offered by both smartphones.
The first variant we will discuss is the Archos 50 Helium Plus. This smartphone offers a 5-inch screen, resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels,
with a pixel density of 293ppi and built on IPS technology.
Its performance is entrusted to the Mediatek MT6735P chipset
that packs quad-core Cortex-A53, speed of 1GHz, 1GB RAM and Mali-T720 graphics
processor. There is a support of 8GB internal memory that can still be expanded
with 64GB microSD. Interestingly, the phone is running with the Android 5.1
Lollipop operating system.
The second variant is the Archos 55 Helium Plus, this
smartphone brings wider screen, i.e. .5.5 inch. The resolution is the same as
the first variant, 1280 x 720 pixels with IPS technology. The components and
operating system are still similar to the first variant, including the camera
modules, there is 13 MP rear camera with additional LED flash, and 5 MP front
camera to take selfie photos.
These smartphones bring two different batteries, Archos 50
Helium Plus is armed with 2.000mAh, and Archos 55 Helium Plus brings a larger
battery, 2.400mAh. The second variant buyers will acquire additional 16GB
microSD in the sales package. According to the plan these smartphones will be
offered starts from next month.
