As we know, the action camera segment is increasingly
crowded lately. Some new products such as Xiaomi Yi that are offered in affordable
prices make consumers think twice about spending more money to buy other
expensive action cameras.
In last June, actually GoPro had released a new action
camera which was intended for the lower middle class, i.e. the Hero + LCD. But
the price of the camera ($ 300) was still considered too expensive for the
consumer budgets. In addition, GoPro also offered even cheaper product, the
GoPro Hero that's offered for $ 130, but its performance was less promising.
Now GoPro offers a pretty good solution, this manufacturer
presents an action camera where its quality lies in the middle of Hero and Hero
+ LCD. From there the GoPro Hero + is created, this action camera combines the
positive values from its seniors.
From the outside, its shape is identical to the GoPro Hero,
complete with a transparent case which makes it capable of diving up to 40
meters under water. But the components inside this action camera are completely
different; it's able to record video in 1080p 60 fps - the Hero can only record
in 30 fps - while still photo will be taken in a resolution of 8 megapixels.
Another significant improvement that's brought by GoPro Hero
+ is the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, this means you can connect a
smartphone and make it as camera's viewfinder, adjust the camera settings, as
well as share the recorded video without having to move the file to a PC first.
When compared to Hero + LCD, the most striking difference is
the absence of a touch screen on the back of GoPro Hero +, but it is actually
able to suppress the price of the GoPro Hero +. This action camera can be
obtained starting on October 4 for $ 200.
