During the five years of work, Instagram has grown into a
global community where more than 80 million photos and videos are shared every
day. But in the five years, the appearance of Instagram itself hasn't changed
too much.
And now in 2016 Instagram finally gets visual polish.
Starting with version 8.0, Instagram's appearance has changed drastically
becomes flatter. There's no blue line at the top, it's replaced by a
combination of white and black color that looks more modern.
This simple design is not only for aesthetics, but also for
focusing the photo and video contents in front of users; all-white look is
certainly going to make a photo or video looks more prominently.
Not only the app that gets makeover, the Instagram icons are
also changed drastically, as can be seen in the picture above. The form of the
camera is now being replaced by a simpler icon, while the iconic rainbow accent
is now represented by a color gradient.
In addition to Instagram, other applications that are still
in same family such as Layout, Boomerang and Hyperlapse are also overhauled.
The icons and looks feel more cohesive; gives the impression that three of them
are the right complements for Instagram.
To get this new look, you can update to Instagram version
8.0 on each device, both Android and iOS.
