This electric go-kart is special because it's developed by
Actev Motors. Just for information, one of the founders of this company is Tony
Fadell, the designer of the first iPod and the founder of Nest which now
operates under the Alphabet Inc.
Indeed, a person's reputation is not enough to become a
benchmark in evaluating a product. But the electric go-kart named Arrow
Smart-Kart is indeed quite special because it brings a number of interesting
features.
It is equipped with GPS and Wi-Fi. With a smartphone app,
parents can set a 'virtual fence' (geofence) so that children who ride Arrow
will not be far from their monitoring. Furthermore, parents can also limit the
maximum speed and even stop its pair of electric motors, if it is in a position
that can harm the children.
In addition, there is a proximity sensor that will detect
obstacles and prevent the accidents automatically. Arrow is targeted for
children aged 5 to 9 years, helping them to understand about an electric car
without endangering them.
Another advantage of the Arrow is its customization options.
Consumers can choose a variety of body shapes, battery capacity, or other
configurations. Its starter kit is priced at $ 600 for the pre-order, and will
rise to $ 1,000 thereafter. The selling will begin in the summer of this year.
