In Microsoft Build event, Microsoft has announced that the
update version of the Windows 10 platform or so-called 'anniversary update'
will have attractive features.
One of the features that will be embedded in the Windows 10
update version is the ability to receive notifications from smartphone that are
running with Windows Phone and Android.
According to Liliputing, later the missed calls, incoming
messages, and other notifications that enter the Android smartphones will be
forwarded and appear on the computer screen that runs with the Windows 10
update version.
Not only that, users can open and reply to the message
directly from the connected PC device without touching the smartphone at all,
even when the smartphone is locked, interesting isn't it?
This method is similar to the use of wearable device (smart
watch) that displays all of notifications from smartphone to smartwatch screen.
On the Windows 10 update version, the Microsoft team has
leveraged the digital assistant Cortana, where the Cortana application will
make a notification center that can be synchronized with smartphone that's connected to it.
For smartphones that are running with the Windows Phone
platform, Cortana feature is integrated by default, whereas for users of
Android devices, they must install Cortana in advance to be able to enjoy this
feature.
Unfortunately there is no information about the exact date
of the Windows 10 update, because Microsoft just mentions that this update will
be released in the summer (US time) this year.
Besides the addition of the above feature, this latest
update will also bring a number of improvements and new capabilities, such as a
better input of digital pen, support of biometric security feature on Windows
Hello when combined with the Microsoft Edge browser to log in to certain sites
or services. And interestingly, Microsoft has supported the Bash Shell to be
run on Windows 10.
For this moment, the notification feature will only be given
for the Android devices users, there's no information whether the users of iOS
devices will also be able to get similar feature or not.
