AltspaceVR, a company whose mission is to realize the social
interaction in virtual reality has recently launched a new application that
will allow users to interact in a virtual chatroom. Basically, virtual chatroom
will bring together the VR headset user with another in the form of virtual
characters that can be customized.
From there, users can talk, play board games, or even watch
Netflix together, despite the fact that they are in a different location - the
variety of activities that can be done can be seen on the official website of
AltspaceVR. The new Application of AltspaceVR is designed to simplify the
process of meeting in the virtual world via VR Call feature.
With VR Call feature, Gear VR users can invite colleagues to
join in a virtual chatroom simply by clicking on a link. The link is sent free
via any medium, either through email, text messaging, chat and social media
applications.
Other users who want to join don't need to use the Gear VR;
they can use the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive which recently has been marketed to
the public - just the inviter who shall wear the Gear VR. With the VR Call
feature, the virtual chatroom concept that's initiated by AltspaceVR can be done
as easy as making video calls on Skype.
Even if your colleagues don't have a VR headset, they can
still join on a PC or Mac. The only other requirement is they have to create an
account on the AltspaceVR site first.
If you have the Gear VR and want to feel the thrill of
get-together and move in the virtual reality, you can download the AltspaceVR
