The induction ovens which we know so far usually have a
large size, unlike the induction cookers that have been offered in a portable
form. But Panasonic plans to change that assumption through a prototype of its
latest device, Panasonic Countertop Induction Oven.
The term "Countertop" indicates that this device
can be placed on the kitchen table like a microwave, and its size is not much
different from the microwave or toaster oven in general. Regardless, it remains
an induction oven which has many advantages over conventional ovens.
Induction technology doesn't involve fire. Induction stoves
or ovens rely on the manipulation of magnetic fields to create thermal energy,
different from ordinary electrical heating technology which creates heat
through the coil.
As a result, the induction cookers and ovens often don't
need to be preheated before being used to cook. This leads to the more
efficient consumption of electric energy, and of course the cooking process
will be faster. This is what will be offered by Panasonic Countertop Induction
Oven, with smaller size than existing induction ovens on the market today.
Users can use it to make various types of cuisine,
especially for the grill. The plates have different heat zones, where the middle
is the hottest part. Furthermore, Panasonic also complements this oven with the
specific settings mode for certain types of food.
Panasonic plans to sell this device in October. The price is
estimated at $ 600. At first glance it sounds expensive, but it is the smallest
induction oven that can be found in the near future, which certainly would be
ideal for apartment occupants who don't have much space.
