Sony has just launched a pocket camera called Cyber-shot
DSC-HX80. This is the smallest camera that's equipped with a very far optical
zoom capability, precisely 30x or 24-720 mm.
The zoom lens is packaged in a very compact body, even
smaller than the RX100 line, making it easy to be stored in a shirt pocket.
Furthermore, the specification offered is more complete than the same sized
rivals.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX80 is powered by 18.2-megapixel Exmor
R sensor and BIONZ X processor that will maintain the quality of the 1080p
video. Sony also equips this camera with 5-axis image stabilization so that the
image results won't be blurring due to the unstable grip.
The rear panel is dominated by a 3-inch screen with 921
thousand dot resolution that can be rotated to the front for selfie purposes.
More interestingly, HX80 also brings OLED electronic viewfinder with a pop-up
mechanism just like the RX100. Accompanying the EVF is a pop-up flash in the
center of the top panel.
User can forward the photos and videos easily via Wi-Fi and
NFC. The camera is also compatible with a number of PlayMemories applications
that are designed to enhance the functionality of the camera. Sony Cyber-shot
DSC-HX80 will be sold in April at a price of $ 350.
