Q Wander and Q Marshall
After the release of its first smartwatch, Q Founder, at the
end of last year, now Fossil announces two new Android Wear smartwatches: Q
Wander and Q Marshall. Both are intended for users whose tastes don't match
with the design of Q Founder.
The most striking difference brought by Q Wander and Q
Marshal from their predecessor is their smaller size. Q Wander has a diameter
of 46 mm, with a feminine body that's impressed by gold case and leather strap.
On the other hand, Q Marshal looks more masculine with 46 mm blue navy case and
vintage leather strap.
Specifications of these two smartwaches are not much
different from the Q Founder. Both Q Wander and Q Marshal bring rounded touch
screen and voice commands support. Even so, they will be accompanied by a wireless
charger that looks slimmer than the charger of Q Founder.
There is no information about the release schedule of these
new smartwatches, but it's expected that the price will start at $ 275 for each
model, depending on the configuration of selected case and strap.
Fossil Q Motion and Smart Analog Watch
Along with Q Wander and Q Marshal, Fossil has also
introduced a new activity tracker named Q Motion. Seeing its form, this device
is very much like Misfit Ray. This is not surprising because Fossil has
acquired Misfit in November last year.
Its functionally is also similar to Misfit Ray, it offers
simple tracking features, forwards notifications, and control the music on your
smartphone. It is powered by a standard button battery with durability up to
six months and could be brought to dive to a depth of 50 meters.
Q Motion will be offered at a price of $ 95. Fossil will
launch it in the summer, along with a number of optional straps.
Fossil also announces a line of Smart Analog Watch which
will be offered in a range of models starting next spring. This line is
basically a standard analog watch that's equipped with intelligent capabilities
such as activity monitoring and notification via vibration.
All of these products are released as the part of Fossil
step in realizing its mission to release 100 wearable devices in 2016, ranging
from Android Wear smartwatches, activity trackers to analog watches with
intelligent functions.
