Do you still remember with the HP Sprout? It's an all-in-one
computer that brings together the unique capabilities of touch screen, gesture
control, projector and 3D camera. Now HP seems to be ready to launch a new
version of its unique PC called HP Sprout Pro.
Broadly speaking, Sprout Pro is not much different than its
predecessor. It still brings 23-inch full HD touch screen along with a
projector on the top that can display a second screen on the Touch Mat
underneath. Besides that, there is also an Intel RealSense camera that has the
ability to scan objects in three dimensions.
The biggest changes of Sprout Pro are given to the inner
components where this computer is now carrying the latest generation of Intel
Core i7-6700 processor and DDR4 RAM capacity of 8 or 16 GB and 1 TB hybrid SSD.
The optional graphics card has also been upgraded to Nvidia GeForce GT 945A,
and of course, Sprout Pro is now running the Windows 10 operating system.
If previously Sprout was appealing for graphic designers,
now the Sprout Pro is more aimed for the classroom and office area that
emphasize collaboration aspects, by embedding a series of software that's
designed specifically for these needs.
HP has developed a series of software for Sprout Pro which
is believed will be able to change the classroom or conference room into a
digital and also physical workspace. For the monthly meeting for example, users
can scan a file with Sprout Pro camera, and then display it on the screen, make
scribbles on it, and also distribute the file via Skype.
In the classroom, students can enhance their creativity by
using the 3D scanning capabilities of Sprout Pro, where they can manipulate the
digital scan results and adding new elements if needed.
HP Sprout Pro is scheduled to go on sale in February at a price
of $ 2,199.
