As one of the most dominant brands in the wearable devices
world, Fitbit has varied product lines. Its popular products include the Fitbit
Flex, Charge, Charge HR and Surge. But all of them come in the form of
smartbands so that consumers who want to buy smartwatch possibility won't take
a glance at Fitbit.
For that Fitbit enlivens the CES 2016 that's held in Las
Vegas. In this event Fitbit introduces its first smartwatch, Fitbit Blaze.
Viewed from any angle, Fitbit Blaze does look like a smartwatch, but of course
with a number of smart features and complete fitness tracking functions.
Fitbit Blazer has a fairly stiff design if compared to other
smartwatches in the market. This smartwatch is wrapped with stainless steel
frame, and it has three buttons on the side. Fitbit Blaze is resistant to water
splashes, but not for use when bathing or swimming.
As a new smartwatch, it's still less complete when compared
to Android Wear smartwatches, especially with the absence of app store to
download third party applications, as well as the absence of voice commands
support. Nevertheless, Fitbit Blaze is still able to forward the notifications
of phone calls, text messages and calendar entries, and it can also be used to
control the music on a smartphone.
What makes Fitbit Blaze special is its fitness tracking
function, ranging from the super simple functions such as monitoring the number
of footsteps or sleep patterns, to the more complex functions such as running
and cycling. Fitbit Blaze also has a heart rate sensor and GPS, allowing users
to monitor the route, speed and duration when doing activities.
Fitbit Blaze is offered at a price of $ 200, making it as a
more affordable alternative than Android Wear smartwatches or Apple Watch.
