Recently Secom has just introduced a quadcopter that's
potentially to be a nightmare for criminals. Offered for enterprise-class customers,
Secom Drone is a sophisticated flying surveillance robot. It has smart
capabilities, advanced automated systems, and qualified imaging technology,
this drone is created to monitor large buildings and vast land.
The design of Secom Drone looks more futuristic than the
standard UAV. It has a round body and four curved arms. The propellers are
located under the arms, and protected by interconnected circular frames. The
design resembles the miniature of UFO. Secom Drone has a size of 570 x 570 x
225 millimeters and weighs 2.2-kilograms including battery.
Secom Drone is equipped with a camera and LED light that
serve to photographing suspicious people and also their vehicles. Secom Drone
is placed on the landing pad and at the same time as a charging unit so that it
is always ready to be activated. When the intruders are detected, the drone
will soon fly as high as three to five meters above the suspects.
Secom Drone is able to follow the targets, it's moving at
speeds of up to 10-kilometers per hour. While tracing, the camera will also
take pictures of the intruders' faces, their vehicles, and also the surrounding
areas. The data - such as information about skin colors, type of vehicles,
plate numbers, and others - are immediately sent to the central server, and the
system will analyze the level of danger and urgency.
Secom is a security specialist company; it has expanded its
services to Asian countries, Australia and New Zealand. Secom offers various
alarm systems, CCTV, access control solutions, and also the provision of
security officers. But of course, Secom Drone is a very special surveillance
device.
Secom Drone is presented along with a subscription service.
One unit of drone is offered at the price of ¥ 800,000 (US $ 6,575), and customers
need to spend ¥ 5,000 (US $ 40) per month.
