One of the problems that often make consumers feel reluctant
to buy an iPhone is because of the short battery life. As we know, the iPhone
6S battery capacity is relatively small if compared to other flagship
smartphones, and it would be very wasteful for consumers who use this gadget
intensively.
Therefore, the accessories manufacturers such as Mophie come
up with a unique idea: a battery case, a case that will provide durability and
also extra battery power to the iPhone. Interestingly, Apple seems to be
interested in this idea, and finally Apple launches its own battery case.
Named iPhone Smart Battery Case, the function is still the
same as other battery cases from other brands. The form is also similar, with
thicker dimension than regular smartphone cases because it has to pack the
1,877mAh battery power. However, the design is completely different. If other
battery cases typically have bump from the top to bottom on the back, but the
Apple's battery case has the bump on the middle part.
Apple's battery case has an exclusive feature that's not owned
by other battery cases: Lightning port. With battery case from Mophie for
example, you must use a micro-USB cable to recharge the battery. With the
iPhone Smart Battery Case, you can use Lightning cable that has been included
in the sales package of the iPhone 6S.
Furthermore, you can also see the remaining power through the
Notification Center on iPhone. Unfortunately, this battery case doesn't have On
/ Off lever just like the majority of battery cases in the market. Furthermore,
Apple claims that this battery case is equipped with an antenna so that the
cellular network signal won’t suddenly drop.
Physically this battery case actually looks pretty sweet. It
uses silicon material and flexible upper part to facilitate the users to slip
the iPhone into it. iPhone Smart Battery Case is offered at a price of $ 99,
and it's available in white or black color options. The compatible device for
this battery case is iPhone 6S.
