Exciting news comes for the users of VR headset, especially
Google Cardboard, now you don't have to worry about running out of virtual
reality contents, because basically all videos on YouTube from now can be
enjoyed in virtual reality mode, even if the video is not a 360-degree video.
So now in every video will appear the 'Cardboard' button
next to Captions and Quality buttons. When you tap the button, the standard
video that's being played will be divided into two. Furthermore, you just need
to slip the smartphone into Cardboard, and the video is ready to be enjoyed.
For a 360-degree video that's made to be enjoyed with VR
headset, YouTube is now ready to provide a more perfect experience. So when you
play one of the videos contained in this playlist, you'll find a Cardboard icon
right next to the fullscreen video icon.
Tap the icon, then the video will be divided into two. But
since the video is the 360 degree video, you can move your head to see what's
happening from all angles.
This virtual reality mode can now be enjoyed in the latest
version of YouTube app for Android. Meanwhile for iOS devices, most likely
Google will also bring the VR mode support to YouTube app in iOS, because the
second generation of Google Cardboard has been designed to be compatible with
iOS devices.
