Password is a personal secret that should be kept
individually. In this internet era we need to mix a super-complex password
that's very difficult to be cracked, but of course a complex password can be
hard to be remembered, and sometimes we even forget with the password that has
been created. Therefore, password applications such as 1Password will greatly
help people who have a lot of complicated passwords.
The scenario will become even more complicated when we work
in a team. In such scenario, each member will be given a trust to keep password
for an account that can be accessed by the team. But once again, you can still
rely on 1Password because this service provides vault sharing feature.
Now the feature has been processed to be 1Password for Teams,
a subscription service that's specifically designed to allow users to share a
password - safely of course - with whomever they want. 1Password for Teams not
only offers the vault sharing feature, but also full control over everything, especially
in the Admin Console, a central location to manage all matters relating to the
password and your team. Here, you can kick or invite new team members with
ease; the account registration process can even be automated by sending a link.
The password for an account, or known as the vault, will
appear automatically on the device of each team member without the need to
configure the sync manually. You can also determine who can view or change the
password on each vault. You can even set up so that your team members can't see
their own passwords, but still be able to login to the designated account.
1Password developer team, AgileBits, is ensuring that the
level of security of this new service will be equivalent to the individual
version of 1Password. All data will be encrypted, and the one who holds the
'key' is only you. If there is data that's not encrypted, AgileBits guarantees
that the data will never land in its hands.
For now, 1Password for Teams can be tried by registering on
the official website, teams.1password.com. During this beta testing period,
1Password for Teams can be used for free, but later AgileBits will apply a
monthly subscription system - just like its individual version, but of course
at a higher price and includes access to the application for iOS, Android,
Windows and Mac.
