Polaroid Snap camera can print photos without ink

Polaroid Snap camera

In its heyday, Polaroid camera was quite popular and in demand because of its ability to print photos directly. Now, only a few people who prefer to print photos in instant way, most prefer the convenience of digital technology than the value of instant physical photos.

But Polaroid apparently still has a way to revive the trend of instant photography. Through a camera called Polaroid Snap which was exhibited at the IFA 2015, Polaroid combines the classic elements of photography world with the practical aspect of modern lifestyle.

Polaroid Snap has antique and modern design, Polaroid again trusts the Ammunition, a design firm that also designed the Polaroid Cube. At the top of the camera, you will find a red shutter button and an optical viewfinder which is located just above the lens.

Polaroid Snap can take photos with resolution of 10 megapixels, and then store them in a microSD with a maximum capacity of 32 GB. Nevertheless, the superior feature of Polaroid Snap lies in its ability to print the 2 x 3 inch photos quickly and surprisingly without the need for ink.

Yes Polaroid Snap doesn't need ink to be able to print the photos that have been taken, because this camera has adopted Zero Ink Printing technology (ZINK). This technology utilizes special papers that pack special molecules. During the printing process, the heat will 'activate' the molecules so that the original colors will come out, adjusting to the resulted images.

So, all you need is the ZINK Paper, nothing else. Users can select an option to print with or without a frame which has been very synonymous with the Polaroid brand. Furthermore, the camera can be used to take photos even though it's still in the printing process.

The best thing of all, this camera is offered at an affordable price, only $ 99 and will go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2015. There are four colors to be offered: black, white, red and blue.
