In the PC + era, a laptop is sometimes created to fulfill
specific function. Still part of the HP Omen family, the PC manufacturer from
Palo Alto introduces HP Omen Pro. Regardless of outward appearance, Omen Pro is
not an upgrade version of Omen. The word 'Pro' has a literal meaning of
Professional. And the notebook is included in the category of mobile
workstation.
HP Omen Pro uses aluminum material with thickness of less
than 2 centimeters. Its body looks like an inverted trapezoidal, there are dots
hole on the back, and there are a series of vertical speaker holes in the left
and right of the keyboard. HP Omen Pro has the same weight with the standard
Omen variant, which is around 2.2 kilograms.
HP Omen Pro is supported by Intel Core i7-4720HQ processor,
Intel HD Graphics 4600, and 2GB Nvidia Quadro K1100M GPU. These components are
combined with 8GB DDR3 memory (up to 16GB), storage type of Z Turbo Drive SSD
(the options are between 256GB and 512GB), and also 58WHr battery. HP Omen Pro
is equipped with a touch screen, but interestingly, it is bundled with Windows
7 OS.
HP Omen Pro brings a 15.6-inch full-HD 1080p screen. If seen
from the specifications above, the Pro variant is more appropriate to be used
by the professional game creators, rather than just video game lovers in
general. This laptop still uses Intel Haswell chip, and based on the official
website, there has been no news about the Skylake update.
HP offers two basic choices, and two more top-end models.
Prices are between US $ 2,100 to US $ 3,700. The additional model is equipped
with an Intel Core i7-4870HQ. The accessories you can buy include HP 3005pr USB
3.0 Port Replicator, keyboard and wireless mouse, HDMI to VGA adapter, HP Z27s
27-inch IPS UHD Display and HP Z Display Z24i 24-inch IPS LED backlit monitor.
The money you pay has covered the business software
licensing for 48 months, HP Elite Premium Support services and warranty for
three years.
