To enliven players’ imaginations, the electronics manufacturers continuously create new innovations for gaming accessories. However, although a number of motion controllers have been widely available, but the classic designs such as keyboard/mouse and gamepad still become mainstay tools for many players. But have you ever imagined what would happen if the games can be controlled by a ring?

Had ever joined with Gameloft in working on Asphalt and Dungeon Hunter series, the designer Juan Gao and his new team in Titanium Falcon now focus on Talon. Talon is a control peripheral that can be worn like a ring on a finger, giving you the ability to control the character, drive virtual vehicles, and also fire a weapon. Not only becomes an alternative game controller, the developer also tries to offer it at the best price.

Indeed Talon is not the only smart ring product in the market, but this is the first smart ring that's dedicated for gaming controller. This touch-less accessory is made to be worn on the player's finger; it has a thickness of less than 3.8 millimeters, and has a horizontal module to store some internal components. Talon serves to translate the finger movements to be input data, and it's also equipped with two dedicated action keys.

Interestingly, the function of Talon is not limited only for gaming. It can be connected to a number of smart devices such as smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, PC Windows, Mac and also head-mounted VR display. For example, Talon can change the TV channels, navigating music collection in a smartphone, and even switch the presentation slide. For the ecosystem development, Titanium Falcon has prepared an open source SDK.

"Currently, in order to play motion-controlled games, consumers must purchase all the expensive hardware: TVs, Wii, X-box or Kinect are just a few of them," says CEO and Founder Guo Juan. "We believe our touch-less and motion controlled smart ring will change the way users play games forever.

Talon is equipped with 32-bit CPU, 9 axis motion control sensor (including accelerometer, gyroscope and compass), combined with Noise Reduction Technology and Bluetooth low energy. Talon is packaged in a simple but comprehensive presentation; it allows the gamers to play video games instantly, on-the-go, anytime, anywhere.

For now, Talon is still in the development stage and not yet ready to be ordered. However, Titanium Falcon estimates that this peripheral will be priced less than $ 100.
