Microsoft is increasingly diligent in enhancing its mobile
applications. After OneNote for Android Wear smartwatch was launched, now
OneNote for Android gets a major update.
The latest update of Microsoft OneNote for Android
introduces new feature called Floatie. Floatie basically allows users to create a note in OneNote despite being opening another application. If seen from the
example screenshot that's taken by Android Authority site, this feature is very
similar to Facebook Chat Heads.
In the new version of OneNote, there is 'Start floatie'
option on the menu. Enable the Floatie, and then a check mark icon will appear
on the screen. You can move this icon anywhere you want. When not in use, the
icon will shift to the edge of the screen and looks transparent. To disable it,
you just need to slide it toward the symbol of X on the bottom of the screen,
much like the Facebook Chat Heads.
When you tap the Floatie, you will see a small window where
you can make a note without having to switch application. After finishing the
note, you only need to choose where the note will be stored. It is ideal when
you're reading an article in Chrome and want to make a quick little note. Floatie
feature will soon be available in the OneNote app for the Android version
15.1.6027.1004.
