The idea of using a single camera with two functions as rear
camera and also front camera in the same time has been started since last year.
Oppo became a pioneer of this kind of feature through N3 which had a camera
which could be rotated. This year Huawei comes with the same idea through
Huawei Honor 7i.
Huawei Honor 7i adopts the same idea with the Oppo N3, the
difference is Huawei Honor 7i doesn't use rotating design but with a folding
mechanism that has same purpose, allowing users to get the same good quality
when using the camera from the front or rear.
Huawei claims that the mechanical system in the folding
camera will not be damaged even though it's used as often as possible. The
optimal protection is also provided by Huawei for the lens component by using
sapphire glass material as an outer coating.
The sensor that's used by this folding camera is made by
Sony, with a resolution of 13MP, F2.0 aperture, and 28mm wide-angle feature.
Overall, Huawei Honor 7i specification puts this device in
the middle class segment. The Huawei Honor 7i carries 5.2-inch screen at a
resolution of 1080p. This smartphone is supported by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 616
chipset, 2GB and 3GB RAM, and also internal memory of 16GB and 32GB. These
variants are priced at $ 250 and $ 300 per unit.
Furthermore, Huawei Honor 7i is powered by 3.100mAh battery,
and fingerprint scanner on the side of the device. Unfortunately there is no
information about the availability of Huawei Honor 7i outside of China.
