Android Wear update brings Interactive Watch Face and Google Translate integration

Interactive Watch Face and Google Translate integration

There’s a good news for the users of Android Wear smartwatch. Google has just released a software update for Android Wear, and this update includes two new features: Interactive Watch Face and Google Translate integration.

What is the Interactive Watch Face? Basically, this feature is designed so that users can more easily access information and communicate by using their smartwatches. So, with just one tap, the Wach Face can change appearance, provide more detailed information or even open a particular application.

There are three Interactive Watch Faces that could be used: Bits, Under Armour and Together. Bits is suitable for users who want to get important information such as the next agenda or the weather forecast. Under Armour is designed for the sports fans, whereas Together allows two users to share photos or emoji directly through the Watch Face.

At the same time, the latest update of Android Wear also presents integration of Google Translate - Google apparently doesn't want to lose from Microsoft that had launched the Microsoft Translator application for Android Wear.

But interestingly, you can still use Google Translate on Android Wear even if you don't install the application on a smartphone, or when your smartwatch is not connected to the smartphone. As long your smartwatch is connected to Wi-Fi network and the internet, Google Translate is ready to translate up to 90 languages.

Google Translate in Android Wear can also translate a conversation in two different languages directly. In total there are 44 languages that can be translated into this conversation mode.
