Ahead of the IFA 2015 event, Archos introduces three new
smartphones: Archos 50 Cesium, 50e Helium and Diamond S.
Archos 50 Cesium and 50e Helium have identical hardware specifications.
Let’s start from the screen component brought. There is 5 inch screen with a
resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels which results in a pixel density of 294ppi.
The devices are claimed to be able to run various games and
multimedia applications by the support of Snapdragon 210 chipset, 1GB RAM,
Adreno 304 GPU and 8GB internal memory. Both smartphones are equipped with 8MP
camera on the back and 2MP on the front. The support for 4G LTE will ensure the
devices to get fast internet network.
The only feature that distinguishes these two smartphones is
the operating system used. Archos 50 Cesium runs with Android 5.1 Lollipop,
while the 50e Helium will be the first Windows 10 based smartphone that has
been officially announced. Both smartphones are expected to be presented in the
IFA 2015 event in next September.
Now let's talk about the Archos Diamond S. This variant is
also packed in 5-inch screen at a resolution of 720p. The difference is this
smartphone is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 layer which makes this smartphone
will be more scratch resistance.
Archos Diamond S is not supported by Qualcomm, but by
MediaTek MT6753 chipset which packs Hexa-Core processor speed of 1.5 GHz. This
specification is combined with 2GB RAM, Mali -T720 GPU, and 16GB internal memory.
Just like other standard smartphones, Archos Diamond S also
has two cameras: 16MP on the back and 8MP on the front, then there is 2.300mAh
battery to support overall operational components.
Just like the Archos 50 Cesium, this variant is also equipped
with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and 4G LTE technology. But, Archos Diamond S will be released in November 2015.
