In half a year, Microsoft has acquired three companies that
run in the field of productivity applications for mobile devices. The first was
Acompli in December last year, followed by Sunrise in February, and most
recently was 6Wunderkinder, the creator of popular to-do list application,
Wunderlist.
The three acquisitions are believed to describe the Microsoft's
huge commitment in presenting the productivity applications for all mobile
platforms. For email there is Outlook which is the result of Acompli rebranding,
for calendar there is Sunrise, and for task there is Wunderlist.
For now, both Microsoft and 6Wunderkinder confirm that there
will be no change in Wunderlist. This application will still be available on
all platforms, and there is no change in subscription fees for Wunderlist Pro
and Wunderlist for Business.
In the next few months, both parties have promised a number
of new features for Wunderlist. Wunderlist is most likely going to get the
integration of Microsoft services, such as OneDrive or Outlook. In the other
hand, Microsoft also plans to 'borrow' a variety of innovations that are
carried by Wunderlist into their applications and services.
If you've never tried Wunderlist, you can directly download
it for free from the official website. As information, Wunderlist is available
in different kind of platforms and can be accessed via a web browser.
