To help the user community especially video creators to
remain creative and productive, YouTube has provided a lot of support through
the launch of several programs e.g. Spaces, Creator Hub and advertising.
Not only stop there, YouTube now provides support through
the latest funding program for the channel managers who are considered worthy
to receive it. In their official blog post, YouTube announces several partners
who receive the funding under this collaboration program. Among other are Fine
Brothers, Prank vs. Prank, Joey Graceffa, Smosh, and a channel which often
produces long duration movies, AwesomenessTV.
All the channel managers that are embraced by the YouTube will
continue the works that have been done so far. The difference is they are
required to create new videos over the interests of each party and upload them
to YouTube for the first time. Thus the displayed videos are the original
creations that won't be found in other video services.
The idea of funding program for video managers was first
noticed by the media in September 2014 when Alex Carloss as Head of Originals
YouTube wrote in his official blog post related to the plan. The aim was to
help the creators in channeling their creativity and also creating new original
videos for YouTube visitors.
Now, the funding program has been initiated. Interesting to
see what would be produced by the video creators above and the effect to the
Youtube popularity and the most important is about the financial benefit they
can obtain. Reported by WSJ, YouTube has a phenomenal number of visits, 1
billion visits but zero profit. The paid subscription program is one of efforts
that's expected can improve the condition.
