It turns out that the hybrid or convertible laptop still has
a place in the hearts of a lot of consumers. The reason is the convenience
factor; besides getting a device that can run the desktop-class productivity
software, consumers can also access multimedia content just like a tablet.
Asus has recently introduced a new hybrid laptop named
ZenBook Flip UX360CA. The main selling point of this device is the screen that
can be folded 360 degrees, attached to the back side of the keyboard to be used
like a tablet.
ZenBook Flip UX360CA is certainly not the first device that
adopts this kind of feature, but it's still interesting due to the balance
between compact design and good performance.
From the outside, this laptop looks very thin. Its aluminum
body is only 13.9 mm, and weighs no more than 1.3 kg. There is no fan-based
cooling system, since it carries the sixth generation of Intel Core M.
Its 13.3-inch IPS screen has full-HD resolution, but there
is also a configuration with a screen resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels. Its
highest variant is packing 8 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD, powered by a battery that
can last up to 12 hours in one time charge.
Unlike the MacBook which only has one port, ZenBook Flip is
equipped with USB 3.0 port, USB-C, micro HDMI and SD card slot. Asus ZenBook
Flip UX360CA will be marketed with prices starting at $ 699 for its lowest
configuration, including Windows 10 Home OS.
