A company from Denmark, Lumigon has released an Android
smartphone that's equipped with a night vision camera that can capture objects
in low light conditions; the smartphone is called Lumigon T3.
Besides carrying night vision camera, Lumigon T3 also comes
with a myriad of other cool features, including fingerprint reader, an ability
to be used as a remote control for a number of household electronic devices via
IR blaster feature, as well as IP58 certified screen and body.
Lumigon T3 brings Super-AMOLED screen measuring 4.8 inch at
1280 x 720 pixel resolutions that's protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 that's
able to ward off scratches and damage from the impact.
While its body is also wrapped with a metal material which
is certified marine-grade 316 stainless steel, which means that the casing of
this smartphone has an extra element of molybdenum which is able to provide
protection against corrosion.
This smartphone is orchestrated with Mediatek's octa-core
Helio X10 at a speed of 2.2 GHz and is supported with 3 GB of RAM and an
internal memory of 128 GB.
For a night vision camera which becomes one of the
outstanding features in this smartphone, the Lumigon has provided a 4 megapixel
camera which is supported by two modules of IR LED. Unlike the thermal camera
in the CAT S60 smartphone which can capture the object based on its
temperature, the night vision camera of Lumigon T3 relies on infrared rays to
capture objects in darkness that can't be seen by the normal human eyes.
In addition, the smartphone that has a dimension of 137 x 69
x 7.9 mm and weighs 145 grams still has a 13 megapixel main camera on the back
that's accompanied with some features such as dual tone flash, Phase Detection Autofocus
(PDAF), and it can be used to record 4K video and also 120fps slow motion
video. While on the front there is a 5 megapixel camera which is also
accompanied by an LED flash that can be used to take selfie or make video
calls.
Lumigon T3 runs with Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS and supports
dual SIM feature. Furthermore, this smartphone can produce quality sound of
24-bit/192kHz. On the back of this smartphone there is an area that can be used
to navigate while displaying content on the screen, which also serves as a
shutter for the front camera when users take selfie photos.

Lumigon T3 is also equipped with a number of features that
are commonly used by the users who love outdoor activities such as a digital
compass, altimeter, and thermometer. As for users who want a high level of
privacy, this smartphone has brought a fingerprint reader and Vault application
to encrypt data in smartphone.
With its capabilities and features, it's not surprised if
the Lumigon T3 is offered at a high price. The standard edition which comes
with color choices of black, white and orange is offered at a price of $ 925
per unit.
Another variant, the Black Edition is offered at a price of
$ 1200 per-unit because it has a body that's wrapped in 24-karat gold, and
there is also a white version which has gemstone accents. Some other color
variants are expected to present in mid-June that will probably have higher
prices.
