Leaving in a hurry usually would make someone forget to
bring a number of important items. That's why the Bluetooth tracker device exists.
Simply put, this kind of device is designed so that users can track the
location of important items such as keys, wallet, passport and so forth by
using a smartphone.
One of popular Bluetooth trackers is Tile. Its popularity
makes the car manufacturer, Land Rover, doesn't hesitate to integrate the
technology into the dashboard of one of its flagship SUVs, Discovery Sport.
This integration is presented in the form of Tile app that's
embedded in the Land Rover's InControl. When users access it via the touch
screen on the dashboard, all the items that have been tagged with the Tile will
be displayed. And when one of the items is not in the car, the users will
immediately get a warning and a clue of the item's last location.
Furthermore, users can also create a list of items that must
be taken on the application. Thus, the items' availability will be directly
checked each time the application is opened, make sure users won't leave them
in the house.
Tile integration also allows users to search for items that
have been tagged if lost in the car. The installed Tile device will sound an
alarm with volume of 90 dB to help users to find it.
