Having announced at CES 2015, the unique peripheral, Razer
Turret, is finally ready to be marketed widely. The device is basically
designed to accommodate the needs of PC gaming in the living room.
Razer Turret consists of three parts: a chiclet-style
keyboard, magnetic mousepad and ambidextrous mouse with 3500 DPI sensor. All of
them are intended to be used simultaneously on the lap of user who's sitting on
a couch facing the TV.
Even though the mouse is ideal for use with left or right
hand, but the mousepad can only be plugged in the right side of the keyboard
because it is connected by a hinge that can be folded. Apart from that, the
magnetic layer on the mousepad serves to prevent the mouse fall, even when the
user is playing intensely.
Razer Turret is wirelessly connected to the PC via USB
adapter, but it is also equipped with Bluetooth connection to connect to
Android devices. Even the keyboard also brings Back and Home buttons that are
specifically designed for use with Android devices - primarily Razer Forge TV
that runs on the Android platform.
The name of Turret itself comes from its shape when it's
mounted on the docking charger. The keyboard is claimed can operate up to 4
months before it needs to be recharged, while the mouse has endurance of up to
40 hours nonstop.
If you like to play PC games while relaxing in front of the
TV, you can buy the Razer Turret for $ 160.
