As promised, HTC finally officially introduced its newest
flagship smartphone, the HTC 10, in a magnificent event. So, what changes are
brought by HTC 10? The first change is of course its name, there is no more
'One and M' but the sequel of the series, 10. In other words, this is the end
of One generation.
The prediction that HTC was designing a smartphone with a
new design seemed to be true. Many people were judging that the design was one
of the weaknesses of HTC One M series; it was referring on the old design. The
HTC 10 brings a drastic change on the design, in which the edges of the device
have bold lines and angles without losing the indentation at the corners.
The front part of HTC 10 is made of glass panel that's strengthened
with glass material on all over of its body. Not only precision and tidy, HTC
claims that the team has tested this material for more than 168 hours to
extremes temperatures, from -20° C freezing temperature to 60° C hot
temperature, and also more than 10,000 times tests of drops, scratches, and
rusts.
The elegant casing design wraps the 5.2 inch screen which
has quad HD super LCD 5 resolution, which is one of the best components at this
time.
HTC chooses Snapdragon 820 chipset to support its flagship
smartphone. We know that Snapdragon 820 is the latest chipset of Qualcomm today.
It has all that many people want, ranging from clock speed, efficiency, fast
battery charging technology, and faster connectivity.
Snapdragon 820 will be accompanied by 4GB RAM and internal
memory options of 32GB and 64GB. If it is not enough, HTC provides a microSD
slot that can be pinned to the external memory of up to 2TB.
At the rear, HTC 10 brings 12MP UltraPixel second
generation. It has an aperture of f/1.8 and 1.55um pixels which ensures the
quality of shots in low light situations. Then there are also optical image
stabilization (OIS), autofocus, RAW support, 4K video, Pro camera mode and
hyperlapse.
While at the front, HTC 10 presents a 5MP camera with 1.55um
pixels and an aperture of f / 1.8 and other supporting features that will make
the selfie results look more interesting.
Powered with 3.000mAh battery, HTC 10 comes with Android 6.0
Marshmallow operating system that's polished with HTC Sense 8 UI. In addition,
there are other supporting features such as fingerprint scanner, USB type C
port, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and dual SIM support.
In the official website of HTC America, the HTC 10 is
offered starting from $ 699. The pre-order is opened started on April 12 with
the delivery schedule in May 2016.
