Again Facebook give important
improvements for its live streaming service, bring new features that will
enhance the interaction elements on the video, easily shared and found. Some of
the features that will be rolled out in the next few weeks, among others are
the capability to broadcast the video at Group and Events, Reply Comment, the addition
of Reactions and Filter features, and location information that includes the
spot where the broadcast is taken which covers most of the countries in the
world.
The Live feature can now be
broadcasted to two most popular services in Facebook: Group and Event. That
means, users can broadcast video to certain people that have same interest with
them. For example, to a group that contains members of community, alumni or
family.
Meanwhile the reach of Live
feature to Events service will provide new opportunities for users to broadcast
the event that has been mentioned through invitation, for example, a birthday
party, wedding, engagement or seminar.
Next, after debuting in February
to the main News Feed, Reactions finally lands in Live. As its function,
Reactions will be a benchmark of people's reactions toward an aired video. For
the viewers, Reactions is a new way to express their feelings regarding the
broadcasted video.
If the emotions are not enough,
users can participate by leaving a comment. Interestingly, the new feature
allows users to reply the comments that have been left by the viewers when they
want to watch it again at a later time.
Facebook also adds a new option
that serves to send an invitation to watch the live broadcast to friends'
contacts. The invitation recipients will get a notification containing a
request to watch the video.
This new experience will soon be
rolled out to Android and iOS platforms in the next few weeks.
