In the midst of rumors about the changes of its timelines
algorithm, Instagram apparently tries to calm down its users by releasing the
latest update for Android and iOS. In this update, Instagram extend the
duration of the video recording, if previously users can upload 15 seconds
videos, now they can upload 60 seconds videos!
The users of Android and iOS platforms will feel this
change, but according to an official statement of Instagram, only some users
who have obtained this new feature before it is implemented globally in next
month. And with this new capability, users and advertisers now have an equal
position. Previously, about two months ago Instagram only allowed advertisers
to record 60 seconds videos before now the general users are also allowed to do
the same.
Furthermore, Instagram also presents multiple clips feature
that allows users to create video from several different clips using the camera
device. This feature will make users stay longer on Instagram, because
beforehand many users switched to third party applications to make this kind of
clip.
In its official statement, Instagram expresses its desire to
bring a new fun way, flexible, and creative to create and watch videos. The
longer duration will attract more videos from celebrities’ accounts and other
famous accounts.
This update is the latest innovation after series of updates
that have been released by Instagram for video sharing. Previously, Instagram
has released the slow motion feature and number of views feature to provide
information about the number of like and people who watch the videos.
