Audi Fit Driver combines the wearable device functions and car's sensors to maintain the driver's fitness

Audi wants its cars in the future will be able to understand the fitness condition of the driver. This idea may sound strange and ambitious, but that what's introduced by Audi to the visitors of CES 2016 through a system called Audi Fit Driver.

Indeed this system is still a concept, but the ideas offered are very interesting. Simply put, this system will integrate data that's collected by the wearable device such as smartwatch and fitness tracker with the data that's recorded by the car's sensors in order to create an overall picture of the driver's physical fitness.

So when the smartwatch records the data of heart rate and skin temperature, the car's sensors will complete it with data of driving style, breathing pattern, and other external factors such as weather and traffic conditions. Finally the Audi Fit Driver will use all the data to estimate the driver's fitness condition.

When the driver is considered too stressed or tired, the system will attempt to make the driver feel more relaxed or even take over the wheel to make sure the safety of the driver. To make the system runs well, the car requires true automatic steering technology, and that's why Audi still needs more time in developing the Audi Fit Driver.

Another simpler scenario is when the driver is suffered from the neck pain, in this case the system will enable a number of features, adapting to the needs of user. For example: activating the massager machine that's embedded in the seat, adjusting the temperature and light in the cabin which at the end will make the driver feels more comfortable.

There is no information when Audi will implement this system into its cars, but at least we can get an idea that the automotive industry not only develops the electric cars and automatic steering system, but also some little things that are useful for the drivers.
