For some people, tea is not just a drink, but part of the
culture that’s full of historical value. Even in the eyes of the fans of tea, the
making process can be considered as a masterpiece of art.
Unfortunately the technological developments seem to be less
aggressive in helping the fans of tea to make delicious tea. On the other hand,
there are a series of advanced devices that can be used to brew a cup of
coffee.
Supposedly tea also receives similar treatment just like
coffee, because without realizing tea is the second most popular beverage in
the world after water. And according to Allen Han, many people in the world haven't
tasted the real enjoyment of tea due to standard making process.
As information, Allen Han previously was one of the Xbox
360's designers. Born and raised in Taiwan, he fell in love with the tea. But
it turns out that he is now also falling in love with the making process of tea
and also its traditions.
Departing from the idea, he designs the Teforia, a very
smart tea maker or tea infuser. So smart, it can find out the volume of water,
the temperature along with the time required for each type of tea leaves. All
of these variables must be executed properly if you want to make perfect tea.
The secret lies in the ability to recognize the different
types of tea that will be brewed. For that, it takes a special pod which's also
made by Teforia itself, where the machine can scan the code in the tea package
to ensure all processes will run automatically. But if you want to brew your
own tea leaves, you can still do it.
The Teforia is accompanied by a smartphone application that
will help you to mix a recipe for any kind of tea. At least 3 times
experiments, Han claims that Teforia can provide the most appropriate recipe
for the tea. Teforia is believed not only able to extract the original flavor
of the tea, but also to maximize the true character of each type of tea.
Teforia has an elegant form - not surprising because Han is
experienced in product design. The buttons are capacitive touch panels, with
LED which will light up only when it's touched.
Unfortunately the Teforia is offered at a high price, $
1,300. But during the pre-order, Teforia is offered at half price, $ 650.
