During this time, there are a lot of Pinterest users who utilize the service as a catalog of interesting items that can be used as a reference for purchasing the goods needed. But it would be interesting if the goods can be purchased directly from Pinterest so that users don't need to visit other online stores to seek the goods. Well ... for Pinterest users in the US, now they can shop on Pinterest just like when they are visiting an online store. Pinterest has just launched a feature called Pinterest Shop.

Pinterest Shop is presented in conjunction with the support of Buyable Pin feature in the Android version of Pinterest app. Buyable Pin is Pinterest's initiative that's launched in June for the users of iOS devices. The users will be greeted with a number of pins which the goods can be purchased directly through Pinterest. The images will be accompanied with pricing info in blue color. So now in addition to 'Pin It' in red button, the users will also see 'Buy It' in blue button.

Now the Buyable Pin feature is already available in the Pinterest app for Android devices. So far it is estimated that there are already more than 60 million items which can be purchased directly from Pinterest. This figure is quite fantastic, considering that the Buyable Pin for now can only be enjoyed by Pinterest users in the United States.

The massive number of Buyable Pin collection makes Pinterest Pin creates a new initiative in the form of Pinterest Shop. Here Pinterest will present selected products collection that can be purchased through Pinterest. The products are not only coming from famous retailers, but also from small boutiques that are home-based businesses.

Hopefully, Pinterest can bring the Buyable Pin and Pinterest Shop to other areas as soon as possible because the transaction process is quite simple and involves only one application. The payment method can be done via credit card or Apple Pay, and it seems that Android Pay will follow soon.
