Klipsch, the audio manufacturer that's known for its
earphones, recently enlivens the competition in Bluetooth speaker segment.
Klipsch introduces the Klipsch Groove, a compact Bluetooth speaker but can
produce loud sound.
Klipsch Groove has a dimension of 12.7 x 10.2 x 5.1 cm; it’s
compact enough for a Bluetooth speaker. Its appearance is a bit unusual with a
trapezoidal shape. The metal grille dominates the front part, while on the
surface there is a row of buttons and indicator light.
Klipsch Groove also has pocketed IPX4 water resistance
certification. On the back side, there is a micro USB plug for charging and a
standard 3.5 mm jack which is covered by a rubber. The battery itself can last
up to 8 hours of use.
Klipsch Groove is claimed to be able to produce accurate and
powerful sound. In the middle, there is 3 inch full-range driver, while on the
side there is a pair of passive bass radiators (2 inch of each part). With that
combination you will get a total output of 10 watts and highly realistic bass.
It is also interesting to note that Groove Klipsch is the
beginning of Klipsch's breakthrough in the wireless speakers realm. The company
apparently has prepared a row of wireless speakers that are ready to be
introduced in the next few years.
Klipsch Groove will be sold for $ 149, either through
Klipsch.com or the authorized retailers. It only comes in one color choice:
Black.
