Apple's iCar will challenge the Google's self-driving car

Apple's iCar

Among the technology manufacturers in the world, it's not only Google that develops an autonomous car. It turns out that Apple has also planned to create new technology innovation on a larger scale than the gadget, i.e. iCar.

Apple has initiated the design of this car since 2008, and this idea was pioneered by the founder, Steve Jobs, who held discussions with the Apple's Senior Vice President, Tony Fadell.

Jobs expressed his desire to build something that has a larger scale compared to just a gadget. At that time, Steve Jobs said that his idea was focused on a production of electric car, iCar. Unfortunately, this idea had been halted because of the condition of the automotive industry in the United States (US) at that time was being dropped.

After the death of Jobs in 2011, the automotive industry in the United States began to recover. Apple's move to realize the iCar was continued by cooperating with several companies to create Apple's electric car.

The latest news says that Apple’s iCar is during the testing process in GoMomentum Station in Concord. According to the plan, the iCar will begin to enter the process of production in 2020.
