Just like Garmin, Polar is also experienced in outdoor
gadgets market, selling various devices ranging from GPS wristwatch until the
heart-rate monitor in the form of chest strap. But in recent years, this
Finnish brand seems to be so interested in the wearable devices. One of its
fitness trackers, Polar Loop, has successfully captured the attentions of many
customers.
Now Polar is ready to release an ultimate fitness tracker.
Named Polar A360, this is the most full-featured fitness tracker that has ever
been made by Polar. The label '360' is given to describe its involvement in
user's daily activities, including the lifestyle.
Physically, Polar A360 looks similar to Microsoft Band 2,
but without the curved screen. This fitness tracker is waterproof, has 13.5 mm
thickness, 13 x 27 mm touch screen with a resolution of 80 x 160 pixels. Its
strap is made of silicon and can be removable with ease.
Polar A360 carries very complete features. For the first
time for Polar, its fitness tracker can monitor user's heart rate in addition
to physical activities and sleep patterns. In order not to feel monotonous,
Polar A360 also features Smart Coaching that will provide practical advice
related to daily targets and how each activity will have an effect on user's
health.
Polar A360 will also continue a variety of notifications
that come into smartphone, ranging from phone calls, text messages, calendar events,
or even remind the user when he/she has sat too long. All recorded data can be
evaluated via Polar Flow application that's available on Android and iOS, or in
the browser. Interestingly, the Polar A360 battery is claimed can last up to
two weeks.
Polar A360 is scheduled to go on sale in November for $ 200.
