Do you still remember with the Arrow Launcher, the Android
launcher application that's made by Microsoft? This application has entered the
private beta phase at the end of last July. And now, Microsoft seems ready to
release it on Google Play.
What's new from this app since undergoing beta testing?
Well, actually not many changes, but there's still improvement given by the
developer. As we know, Arrow Launcher focuses on three pages: People, Apps and
Notes & Reminders.
As the name implies, each of those pages will present
different content. People will show the last contacts list you are contacting.
Apps will display the applications based on how often you open them - the most
often will be placed on top. Then Notes & Reminders gives you quick access
to your to-do list.
Accompanying those three pages is a new page named Recent.
Here Arrow Launcher will display almost everything that happened on your
smartphone before, ranging from the recently used applications, photos that
were taken a few minutes ago, and also the newest applications you had
installed from Google Play. The idea is that you can go back to what you were
doing beforehand after interrupted by something.
Another interesting feature of Arrow Launcher is a dock that
can be swiped up to display additional options. This feature is actually
similar to the Control Center of IOS 9 even its appearance is also similar. Of
course, the applications and toggle that are displayed can be customized to
suit the taste of each user.
Arrow Launcher now also supports third-party icon pack, and
is compatible with all trusted widgets that will be collected on one page.
About the performance, Microsoft claims that Arrow Launcher won't take much
resource so it won't give bad impact to the battery life.
If you are interested to try the Arrow Launcher, you can
download it from Google Play for free.
