After introducing the Logitech G310 Atlas Dawn, Logitech now
comes back with an alternative variant of that mechanical keyboard. The
Logitech G410 Atlas Spectrum looks similar to its predecessor; this keyboard
looks compact without the presence of numpad, and with the position of cable on
the right that seems unusual.
Surely the main focus of a mechanical keyboard is a switch
that's located behind each key. Here G410 uses mechanical switch Romer-G which
is made by the Logitech itself. This switch has actuation point of just 1.5 mm,
making it more responsive than other switches.
Designed to support the activities of e-sport athletes, G410
doesn't want to burden the users with buttons that are rarely used. It doesn't
have a macro button; the only extra buttons are the game mode button (to
disable the Windows key) and the button to turn on and off the backlights on
the right above.
Nevertheless, Logitech seems to understand that gamers also
love to listen to music, therefore, the keys of F9 - F12 also double as the
play/pause, stop, back and forward with the Fn key combination.
The Backlights of G410 have followed the latest trend of
peripherals industry: these backlights emit a combination of colors from the
RGB spectrum - that's why its name is Logitech G410 Atlas Spectrum, and herein lays
the biggest difference between the G310 and G410. Users are free to choose from
the 16.8 million color combinations available. The backlights will also light
up right in the middle, so the appearance will still contrast and dazzling.
Just like G310, the G410 also comes with Arx Control that
serves as a holder for a smartphone or tablet; turn it into a second screen
with the help of a companion app on Android and iOS. Logitech G410 Atlas Spectrum will be sold for $ 130 in the US and Europe starting this October.
