Google Photos for iOS gets an update

Last week Google released the latest update of Google Photos app for iOS with some new features and improvements. Google Photos version 1.4 brings new support where users can share animation photos to WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. Having forwarded to both applications, the animation is still in the same format.

Based on its official changelog document, a new feature has been applied to users in the United States where in the Search feature users can now provide labels and combine images into different groups. As a result, images that have been labeled can be found easily in the future, or to get more accurate results, you can combine people, places and other search criteria. Unfortunately for now this feature can only be used by users in the United States.

However, this update doesn't bring a support for Chromecast, though this feature has been awaited for a long time. But don’t worry because Google has promised to deliver Chromecast support for iOS in the near future. Furthermore, this application now works faster when it's started. This latest version also arrives with bugs fixes and performance improvements in overall.

If you've been using Google Photos, you can update this application now. Or you can download it from the App Store, but make sure your device is using iOS 8.1 or newer.
