Polaroid may start the trend of instant camera in the '50s,
but in recent years the Fujifilm Instax line is also quite successful in
drawing consumers' attentions, especially women. As information, the Fujifilm
Instax has similar working way with the Polaroid camera.
Recently, Fujifilm introduces the latest model of its Instax
line. Named Instax Mini 70, this instant camera has a slightly different form
than its predecessors. The label "Mini" indicates that this camera is
more compact, while the design is made slightly more modern - though it still
carries retro aura in some corners.
This design change is given to attract the male consumers.
Previously, the Instax camera shapes looked very feminine; so many male
consumers were reluctant to buy it even though they were quite interested in
analog photography.
Fujifilm Instax Mini 70 uses film paper measuring 2 x 3
inches - about as big as a credit card - which is sold separately. The photos
will be taken at ISO 800, providing a balance between natural color and bright
shades in the room. This camera can be used easily: set composition through the
viewfinder, press the shutter button, and wait for the picture printing.
Instax Mini 70 is also packing some shooting modes at once.
There are "Landscape" mode to take landscape photos,
"Macro" mode for close-up pictures, "Self-Timer" mode for
group photo, and also the "Selfie" mode.
When you enable the Selfie mode, the camera will adjust
focal length and also exposure at the same time so that the selfie photos can
be optimal. Interestingly, there is a small mirror at the right side of front
lens. Yes, this mirror will help you to see your selfie poses before taking
pictures.
Fujifilm Instax Mini 70 will be available in November for $
140. It's offered in three new colors: Moon White, Canary Yellow and Island
Blue.
