If you type the words 'White Noise' in Google Play or App
Store, you will see a series of apps that basically have the same function: to
help you sleep quicker. These applications are sought by many people because according
to some information the white noise is quite effective to help people to sleep
easier.
White noise is actually referring to the signal or flat
sound spectrum. In many cases, white noise sounds like the sound of a fan or a
television without a signal. In theory, listening to this sound will make you
more relaxed and fall asleep faster.
But the problem is the various white noise applications
usually play a particular track repeatedly. As a result, your mind will be more
focused on the existing pattern, and finally you will have difficulty to
sleep.
Snooz offers an interesting solution, rather than digitally
produce the white noise, Snooz utilizes physical fan to generate a random white
noise and natural, it promises more effective impact than the series of
applications that are available for smartphones.
Snooz has a shape like a dome. On the top there is a large
button to turn on and off the device. This button can also be rotated to adjust
the volume of the generated white noise. The wall of Snooz can be rotated to
adjust the white noise variations, ranging from the sound of desk fan to the sound
of aircraft engine which usually can be heard from the cabin.
Snooz has a compact shape so you can carry it easily while
traveling. The power consumption is claimed to be 98% lower than ordinary fan.
It's very easy to use, you just need to put it on the table, connect its power
cable, turn on the device and then lie down on your bed.
Snooz also features Bluetooth connectivity so that users can
control it via smartphone. The device is also ideal for calming the baby who's
resting, and is believed to be harmless because it has white noise calibration
feature.
Through Kickstarter, Snooz can be ordered for $ 59 during
the campaign. The backers can also choose between two colors: gray or white.
