Today there are so many messaging applications available for
mobile users, but Samsung seems wants to compete in this intense competition.
The South Korean giant company creates a new messaging application called
Socializer Messenger.
Samsung claims that this application will bring the way we
communicate via mobile to the next level through enhanced features and content.
Explained, Socializer Messenger is an application that's built on the Social
Web App Platform (SWAP) which's developed by the people in the research and
development division of Samsung.
But the interesting aspect of this application is that
Samsung uses an open source project called Telegram for Android, which gives
easy access to the users to share or use web-based applications in the chat
room without having to install or download it first.
Thus this application provides an easier way to share and
more capabilities than just sharing pictures, videos, stickers or smiley.
Through Socializer Messenger users can enjoy games and web applications without
installation. Samsung presents 11 items which consist of applications and
games.
“SWAP connects the dots among web app stores, web apps, and
the messenger. This feature allowed us to satisfy content providers, web app
developers, and messenger users at the same time,” said Kyung-Eun Park, a
senior engineer at Samsung’s Software R&D Center.
Socializer Messenger is built in such a way with a number of
advantages. It has a layout and interface that allow users to chat and play
games on two screens but in one platform, lets them to play while constantly
connected to friends and family.
Samsung has added a search panel complete with a filter tool
that can be a place for users to find games and other applications.
Samsung also provides the flexibility to developers to
distribute applications, games or other equipments for free. And at the same time,
Samsung wants developers to grow through in-app purchase functionality of their
premium items.
